I discovered hypnotherapy over 30 years ago, as a successful media account director working for press, radio and media agencies, you had to look good and at least pretend to feel good about yourself. The problem was, I found myself constantly comparing myself to others, whether I was good enough, thin enough, pretty enough and it was hard on my confidence and how I felt about myself.
From a young age I was always told that I was fat which affected me, more than I realised, I spent thousands and I mean double-figure thousands trying to find that miracle cure.
I tried hypnosis in the early years and it worked for a little while as I thought, “a few sessions will do the trick”. However, I never really committed to the treatment because I was not educated as I am now on how the mind works. This early insight led me along the holistic therapy path and began my education of the human psyche.
Once I understood the potential of hypnosis, I began training with the accredited Tag Alliance Group as a hypnotherapist where I successfully trained in all forms of hypnotherapy and became fully certified. I chose to specialise in ‘Hypno-dieting’ because of how it resonated with me and decided I wanted to first help myself. You know, make sure the theory I had learned matched the real world. I wholly committed to my personal program, tweaked, changed, and practiced it, and low and behold it was a success, I felt good, and through my eyes looked great (which is all that mattered)! It was at that moment I knew I had to share this dieting treasure I had created with everyone and anyone I possibly could.
